Vladimir Fedoseyev prepared a splendid surprise to the opera’s admires. “Mermaid” – is the most famous opera of Antonin Dvorak in libretto of Czech writer Jaroslav Kvapil. The folk legends and fairy tales of Czech writers Bozena Nemcova and K. J. Erben skillfully intertwined with the love story of Mermaid and a terrestrial boy. The action takes place in a magic country in the magic time. In the production of V. Fedoseyv there will take place the orchestra and choir of the Zurich Opernhaus, Piotr Beczala (Prince), Krassimira Stoyanova (Mermaid). The production’s director is Matthias Hartmann. The performance will take place also on 3,6,11,13 and 16 June, 2010.
